This position is located at Vandenberg SFB, California and is temp to hire. The hours are 7:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Pay rate ranges from $76,970 to $120,485 annually.

Essential Functions

  • Perform Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM); Unscheduled & Emergency Depot Level Maintenance (UDLM & EDLM) activities on Range systems on the Western Range
  • Lead the inspection, troubleshooting, adjustment, alignment, repair, refurbishment, and corrosion control of Prime Mission Equipment (PME)
  • Provide onsite leadership of Bargaining Unit personnel while performing Depot maintenance efforts
  • Perform equipment maintenance, equipment/system status reporting duties in accordance with the Integrated Organizational and Depot Maintenance Plan (IODMP) and related LISC Operating Instructions (LOI)
  • Perform technical duties in an electronic shop environment or out in the field
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with specific emphasis on attention to detail

 

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in the Range instrumentation operation and maintenance field desired
  • Knowledgeable in the type of operations, calibrati9ns, and maintenance of the Range instruments supporting Vandenberg Space Force Base mission
  • Proficient at electronic, mechanical, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Range system equipment
  • Good comprehension of Range systems and their operational role in supporting Western Range missions.
  • Good comprehension of equipment manuals, technical orders, product specification sheets, blueprints, drawings, and engineering sketches
  • Knowledge of Environmental and OSHA Standards.
  • Knowledge of ISO9000 Quality inspection process.
  • Knowledge of IPC A-600 standards, preferred.

  • May be required to travel in support of work at off base locations The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization
