The Shipping Associate is an entry level position that would be great for anyone looking to start a new career or learn new skills! This position is Full Time and temp to hire, with the hours from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Mondays through Fridays (overtime and weekend work may be required). The pay rate for this position is $15.50/hr. Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Update and maintain accurate inventory.
Communicate with outside warehouse regarding customer orders and replenishment orders.
Accurately package product content to ensure safe handling during shipment.
Allocate inventory for customer orders.
Check for accuracy of unit measure, quantities of order, and carrier bills.
Prepare orders in a timely manner in order to meet deadlines.
Notify Supervisor or Planning Department when discrepancies occur in inventory
Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures, including ISO, safety and security measures
Move materials with electric pallet, load trucks as required.
Other tasks as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to properly communicate through both oral and written communication
Ability to stand for an entire shift
Ability to multi-task and properly prioritize tasks
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine notes, documentation, and complete forms accurately
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet applications. Ability to learn various software programs
Ability to be flexible in changing daily workload priorities as directed and accurately perform detail-oriented work.
Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills.
Ability to follow through and resolve order issues.
Ability to maintain accuracy, consistency and quality in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
Ability to coordinate and synchronize multiple projects.
Ability to function in a controlled environment regulated by FDA GMPs and handle restricted, confidential, private, or personal information.
Ability to use forklift or electric pallet jack.
Ability to use company computer systems, and various office equipment such as computer, printer, copier, fax, and phone.
