We are currently recruiting for a Grower Accountant with a fantastic company in Santa Maria that hopes to add YOU to their team! This is a temp-to-hire position located in Santa Maria, CA. The payrate is $20-25/Hr DOE, with hours from 7:30am to 4pm Monday through Friday.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review, maintain, and reconcile monthly inventory of materials.
- Manage employee insurance billing and claims reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly-entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Invoicing and cash receipts
- Review expense accounts for erroneous entries
- Ensure that accounting periods closed are accurate and timely.
- Prepare crop accounting reports as needed by management.
- Analyze and prepare reporting for various departments as needed.
- Assist in accounting department as needed.
- Streamline asset management procedures and maintain software.
- Assist Controller with projects and preparing of company information for CPA, audits, or as needed by management.
Skills & Qualifications
- Accounting experience (minimum of 2 years)
- Supervision or management experience
- Computer proficient – Microsoft Office, 10-key, typing, timekeeping & accounting software.
- Experienced in spreadsheet input, editing, and reporting.
- Willing and able to multitask.
- Organization and maintaining accurate systems.
- Able to work independently and with a team.
- Effective communication skills and strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
