We’re seeking a Corporate Accounting Assistant for one of our clients in Santa Barbara, CA. This is a full-time temp-to-hire assignment, with a pay range of $29 – $33 an hour. Duties & Responsibilities
- General accounting and administration support
- Maintenance and Reconciliation of financial records in multiple databases
- High volume bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
- Assist with quarter and year-end reporting.
- Processing semi-monthly payroll using Payroll service, verifying accuracy of payroll reports, and maintaining payroll records.
- Preparing various workers’ comp reports, verifying accuracy of WC policies
- Other duties as assigned by Corporate Controller.
Skills & Qualifications
- Critical thinking abilities who can learn and understand procedures and policies and be able to apply this knowledge to various scenarios.
- Working knowledge of standardized accounting practices (GAAP)
- Full cycle bookkeeping/accounting experience.
- Payroll experience (required).
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Ability efficiently use Excel to organize and analyze business data.
- Ability to learn new software quickly.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good typing, data entry.
- Detail oriented.
- Well organized.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Works well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Good oral and written communication.
- Professional appearance.
- A positive and outgoing nature.
- Regular and prompt attendance.

- Ability to work 8:00am – 5:00pm.
