The Compounder position is a temp-to-hire opportunity with hours from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday (overtime and weekend work may be required).  The pay rate for this position is $19/hr.  If you are qualified and interested, submit your resume now!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for 100% accuracy in documentation of batch record activities, adherence to procedure, and a timely delivering of batch samples to appropriate inspecting personnel.
  • Weigh, add, and mix prescribed quantities of raw materials in prescribed sequence and duration, per procedure.
  • Notify appropriate inspection person before starting any production operation and ensures their verification of all operational steps.
  • Operate equipment in performance of job responsibilities such as weigh scale, jar mills, kilns, electric forklift, blenders, furnaces, etc.
  • Clean work surfaces and equipment before and after use.
  • Adhere to rules and regulations when disposing of materials.
  • Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures including ISO, safety, and security.
  • Maintain organized and clean work area ensuring tools and supplies are stored in proper places at end of shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one-year related experience.

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

While performing the duties of the job, employee is regularly required to walk, stand, talk and hear; squat; grasp simply with one or both hands; use a power grasp with one or both hands; use fine manipulation with one or both hands; use one or both hands repetitively; push and/or pull with one or both hands; and lift and/or carry up to 60 lbs.  The employee is occasionally required to sit, bend/or twist at the neck, kneel, crouch or crawl; twist at the neck and/or waist; use an above and/or overhead reach. The employee is regularly required to work around equipment or machinery, drive a forklift; is exposed to excessive noise, extreme humidity or wetness; and use visual and/or hearing protective equipment such as safety glasses, earplugs, and gloves.  Normal vision (with corrective lenses, if necessary) is required for the job.  Special vision abilities include close vision, color and/or depth perception.  The work environment is noisy.
