The Client Service Specialist Position is located in the wonderful city of Santa Barbara, CA. This is a temp to hire position. The schedule is Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with a 30–60-minute lunch. The pay rate is $22/hr

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Saturday Shift schedule and send reminders
  • Attend to any individual who walks in
  • Attend required weekly status meetings with various members of the Property Management Division to keep updated on all properties
  • Marketing – Ensure that:
    • Website is up to date and accurate
    • Properties are added and removed from rent lists in a timely fashion
    • All properties have well-crafted property descriptions and attractive photos depicting property and unit
    • Craigslist and other online advertising are updated regularly and timely
    • Coordinate and track signage so that signs are placed at available properties and then removed when rented
    • Maintain rent lists and other online and offline marketing materials
  • Leases
    • Oversee scheduling and drafting of all rental agreements and addendums
    • Ensure accuracy for all documents
  • Parking – oversee parking list, agreements, and rentals
  • Service
    • Ensure timely quality service for all walk in and phone traffic
    • Handle escalated leasing and front office issues
    • Back up Customer Service Representatives for lunches, busy days, vacation and sick days
    • Maintain neat and tidy lobby
  • Addition duties and tasks as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Professional appearance (Casual until client reopens)
  • Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of people

  • Neat legible handwriting
  • Ability to recognize a problem and propose alternative solutions to that problem
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others

  • Works well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Knowledge of Appfolio is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to compose business letters.
