We are currently recruiting for a Client Service Specialist with a fantastic local business serving Santa Barbara County. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with customer service experience, so if you’re interested, submit your resume now because this position will fill quickly!

The Client Service Specialist position is full time and temp to hire, located in Santa Barbara, CA. Hours are from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday with a payrate of $23-25/Hr.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist walk in customers
  • Attend and contribute to semi-weekly leasing status meetings
  • Process rental applications – run credit reports, verification of rental history and employment
  • Contact rental applicants with approval/denial information
  • Draft rental agreements and addendums
  • set up leases for electronic signature by applicants and follow up to assure timely completion and payment of deposit.
  • Process and track lease assignments, subleases and resident add ons.
  • Address tenant inquiries regarding available units, leasing, assignment/sublet, general office questions, move out procedures, general resident ledger questions.
  • Opening, stamping and distributing mail
  • Identify yourself by name when answering the phone, screen each call by gathering the caller’s name and the purpose of the call, then route the call by announcing the caller and purpose of the call when transferring.
  • Receiving, date stamping checks and providing receipts.
  • Update Appfolio with notes on conversations with residents.
  • Maintain neat and tidy workspace, conference room and lobby
  • Understand policies and apply them to different situations
  • Work well as a team
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with computers, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to compose a business letter
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others
  • A positive and outgoing nature
  • Neat, legible handwriting
  • Detail oriented
  • Works well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Good oral and written communication
