We are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper position located in Arroyo Grande, CA.  This is a temp to hire position with a flexible schedule (3 to 4 days a week). The pay rate starts at $23 an hour (DOE).

Benefits if hired by the client include health, dental, vision, sick pay, vacation pay, and 401K.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial transactions using QuickBooks.
  • Prepare and process accounts payable, oversee receivables, deposits, sales tax reporting and financial statements.
  • Perform extensive data entry to ensure all financial data is entered to safeguard the accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Prepare annual 1099s.
  • Month end journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Prepare end-of-month reports for management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Three years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is required.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • High school diploma, associate’s degree preferred.
