This position is part time with a varying schedule, working 3 to 4 days a week excluding Sundays from 11am-4pm. The rate of pay for this position is $17/hr or more depending on experience.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Open and close the store and utilize the alarm system
  • Greet customers and clients
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, etc.
  • Make appointments with Clients or Contracts, etc. as directed by Owner
  • Create Invoices, Client Contracts, Credit Memos, etc. Check for any errors.
  • Present bills to Owner; prepare payment for approved bills for Owner’s signature; mal out or scan to Vendor
  • Process Checks for payment of services; put Credit Card payments through the automatic machine
  • Write letters, emails, thank you cards for approval by Owner
  • Receive and check in all incoming shipments, notifying the Owner of all activity
  • Prepare items for shipment to Vendors or Clients
  • Perform general cleaning as needed/assigned
  • Any other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have the ability to interact with people (in person and on the phone or computer) in a warm, pleasant manner
  • Must have the ability to sell items on the Shop floor and/or inform people of Owner’s abilities, skills and experience
  • Must be a self-starter as well as the ability to multitask
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills
  • Must be prompt, arrive to work on time and handle all responsibilities without delay
  • Must be able to accurately file alphabetically
  • Proficiency with various social media platforms
  • Office/Sales experience preferred
  • General accounting/invoicing experience preferred
