We’re currently looking for a Clerk II for a company that is all about helping people. This position is located in Santa Maria, CA, and is expected to last a month but could be extended. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8AM to 5PM and Friday 8AM to 4:15PM. The pay rate for this position is $22.75 an hour.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a supply of office forms and distribute the forms to the general public
  • Answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate personnel
  • Receive the public and answer questions
  • Prepare outgoing mail and deliver to the post office
  • Receive and date stamp all incoming mail
  • Operate a variety of office equipment such as a copier, fax machine, PC, and postage machine
  • Maintain a variety of logs and files
  • Verify reported financial information and references
  • Assist in coordination of property inspections and track results
  • Serve a vulnerable, special needs population with kindness, courtesy, and professionalism

Skills & Qualifications

  • Two years of customer service experience desired
  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable
  • Ability to effectively serve customers and clients, demonstrating fairness, patience, compassion, and respect
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Client database software (YARDI a plus)
  • Basic principles of programs administered by the PHA
  • Knowledge of ADA regulations on reasonable accommodations and equal access to housing programs
