We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Administrator in beautiful Goleta, CA.  This is a full time and open-ended position, with the potential for long term or temp-to-hire work. Hours are from 8:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. The rate of pay is $25/hr.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Main customer contact for Order Processing and Weekly Reporting.
  • Majority of time spent on email communication, conference calls and weekly team meetings.
  • Assist in creating loading maps, purchase orders, shipping schedules, customer reports, sales order confirmations.
  • Work closely with counterparts at factory to verify accurate information on purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely information on the Sales Orders to the Customer.
  • Work closely with sales account managers on new orders and any additional information needed for servicing the customer.
  • Organize and maintain electronic documentation including purchase order records, sales order confirmations and other documents as needed.
  • Provide reports to internal employees and external customers as required.
  • Ensure goods are shipped in the most timely and efficient manner according to documented processes, including planning and tracking the shipment from pick up through delivery.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years’ experience in a Logistics or related position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities timely, accurately and completely.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with various personnel in various departments and external contacts offering common sense solution to complex issues.
  • Ability to demonstrate proactiveness, exceptional work ethic, and be detail oriented and results driven.
  • Ability to use Excel, Word, SAP plus various other office equipment.
